Synoptic treatment concept

With the synoptic treatment concept it is necessary to unite the different fields of dentistry in such a way that optimal conditions for aesthetic-reconstructive dental treatments are created through their coordination. The success of such a synoptic treatment concept, as so consistently pursued by only very few dentists, lies in the exact multidimensional recording of the patient and the application of all relevant plus innovative therapies from a single source, thus leading to tailor-made treatment goals. They are achieved through "conclusio", the medical conclusion, i.e. analysis and case-related interpretation.

The decision-making and therapeutic measures based on experience and evidence make it possible to transform highly complex treatment cases into an overall result that is functionally and aesthetically satisfactory, even in the long term.

The synoptic treatment concept is to be understood as a kind of step-by-step approach. Sýnopsis ancient Greek - (overview, synopsis) is the origin of the word synoptic. In this type of dental treatment, the various sub-disciplines of dentistry must be taken into account and coordinated in such a way that the actual goal, namely aesthetic reconstruction at the end of the restorative phase, is not lost sight of. The main practitioner controls, coordinates and re-evaluates the entire pre-treatment until the restorative phase can be initiated. The synoptic treatment concept demands the highest quality and know-how in the individual areas of pre-treatment and thus creates optimal conditions for an esthetic and well-functioning dental prosthesis.
